Still de la Hoya could not forget his sorry loss to Pacquiao to the extent he belittles Pacquiao. Never in the history of Pacquiao matches that he runs. So reducing the ring measurement will not be an alternative just to run from Cotto.. Pacquiao wants to give the audience their money's worth being a ring gladiator. So he fights to the end and never run.

Another reason to hate De la hoya... he is such a cry baby. He gets destoyed by pacquiao, but says he wasn't hurt. He predicts that hatton will knock pacquiao out, we know how that ended up. I wish he would just go away, but I know that is impossible so I'll just deal with this guy thinking he's a boxing god. I've always said and i'll say it again...he is by far the most overrated fighter in at least my generation. The guy lost most all "big" fights he was in...

Ever since I can remember in my not too short of a life span, the size of rings was one of the items negotiated by promoters and managers. The ones who handled the puncher always wanted a smaller ring. The ones who handled the boxer always wanted a larger ring. Sometimes the money was upped just to entice the other side to agree. Sometimes a ring somewhere in the middle in size was agreed upon. That is, when there were two opposing promoters or managers. In this case, there are none. There is only one promoter. Is he really giving both fighters an even break? No. The larger size favors the boxer---always has. Since no one is negotiating for Cotto, inaction really tells the story. Sorry, but I've got to go with Oscar on this one. Nobody is negotiating for Miguel. The fact is that the size of the ring does matter and Miguel is not getting an even break! Sorry, Miguel, maybe you need another promoter, just for this fight! I wish you well.
