with the unemploment at a all time high they should fire all that dont show up for work and hire some people that want to work. fire them all, no one is getting 4% raises out there, everyone else is getting laid off or had to take a cut in pay just to keep their jobs, I had to take a 10% cut this year, just to keep my job, when things get better, and i hope soon, although i doubt it will happen under all these current administrations. I'll get my regular pay again, but until then, bite the bullet like the rest of us and be happy you have a job. I've had to deal with septa drivers, and the majority of them, have major attitudes.

The acme of foolishness. These union workers that are striking, I would assume will be out of work soon. I didn't know there were any jobs left in America with pension; and now by striking they are going to risk losing one of the last remaining jobs in the USA with a pension?! Not too smart. And 11.5% increase guaranteed over the next 5 years. I took a 50% paycut this year; because I was displaced from the automotive industry. Once again, not too smart. And 1% contribution to healthcare insurance is virtually unheard of too. There are just so many unemployed workers out of work in this country, it will be so very easy to replace all these workers. Surely these union workers should realize this, but apparently not. I'm glad they are prepared to be on strike for the long haul; because I would suspect this would be a permanent layoff.

To have the audacity to go on strike after millions have lost their jobs should warrant a felony arrest to all individuals involved.
