Rape, violence, murder all deserve the death penalty--regardless if the criminal was 4 or 104. A person's mind is set by age 4, cannot be modified after age 7, can be curtailed only by threats and examples. Executing youths who have destroyed parts of society may be a deterent to other youths determined to make a life painful for others. I am proud of the states who have sentenced anyone to life without the possibility of parole, regardless of age, if the crime is so terrible that it makes anyone shudder to think of it. Joe Sullivan should have been executed immediately after being caught--now he should face the charge that has been revived. His age then, and now, has no merit or relevance.

I don't understand what has happened to the youth of today? We try our best to give them everything that we can and in return they sometimes turn around and kick us in our face! By the time a child reaches the age of 10, they should already know the consequences for any of their actions! I believe in an eye for an eye!
